Creative Serbia Conference: The Future is Creative
Yugoslav Film Museum, Belgrade
Uzun Mirkova 1
Tuesday, March 13th, 2018
11.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The conference programme is aimed not only at identifying some of the current challenges and constraints faced by the sector, but more importantly to begin looking ahead to the sheer scope of opportunities, and to identify how the public and private sectors can best cooperate to grow the creative industries in a sustainable manner.
Prime Minister Brnabic has made the creative industries one of the priority sectors for her government in 2018. The Creative Industries are already a significant contributor to the Serbian economy, employing over 100,000 Serbians, almost 70% of whom are 25-44 years old. Correctly supported ...
the sector offers opportunities to create even more jobs, to boost small businesses, promote tourism, improve our soft power standing, limit brain drain from the country, and influence how the country is perceived at home and abroad. More broadly, the creative industries also help Serbia prepare for a future workplace that will inevitably be affected by global trends like automation, outsourcing and the “gig” economy.
The conference is invitation-only. Please note, all conference registrations / RSVPs and conference check-ins will be handled through the Eventbrite registration platform (all guests need to prepare their tickets for bar code scanning at the entrance). If you have not received the Eventbrite invitation and you would still like to participate at the conference, please contact us on creativeserbia@gov.rs.
